Objetivos:: The main objectives of the project will be:  Detect the energy “over cost” in houses and buildings of the SUDOE.  Awareness-raising of the civil society about the importance of energetic saving to lessen the climatic change.  Develop ICT self-diagnostic tools for energy saving for the civil society.  Develop actions of “Comsuption Modification” with a high demonstrative effect.  Transfer the results at national, European and international level.
Resumen:: According to the Green Paper “Energy Efficiency: doing more with less” (2005), Europe wastes at least 20% of its energy due to energy inefficiency. On the other hand, the Paper states that there is a vast saving potential to be developed in houses and in buildings, this latter representing the 40% of the total energy consumption in the UE. This makes the investments in energy efficiency in houses and buildings extremely appealing. Moreover, the Energy Efficiency Action Plan of the European Commission (2006) considers that the greatest possibilities for saving energy in an economical manner are in houses (around 27%) and in commercial buildings (around 30%). Taking into account the statements above, the project will be based on the following objective of the SUDOE OP “Enhance the management of natural resources, promoting energy efficiency”, and it will be implemented by means of a strategy focused on “Rational and efficient use of energy resources” in houses and buildings. The main groups of tasks will be: - Creation and maintenance of an Energy Monitoring Network in buildings and houses: o Energy efficiency analysis in houses and buildings. o Define a Plan of Action. o Holding transnational working tables about the Plan of action. o Training to community associations about energy efficiency. o Dissemination and awareness campaigns to citizenship. - Elaboration of self-diagnostic ICT tools about energy use: o Elaboration of simulators. o Realization of technical studies about the production of self-diagnostic tools. o Realization of transnational working tables about self-diagnostic ICT tools. - Implementation: o Publishing of Good Practices. o Transfer of know how. Exchange of experiences with other European regions. - Coordinating and managing activities. - Evaluation activities. - Dissemination activities.
