Résumé:
Natura 2000 comprises a series of protected/classified areas at European level that includes special protection areas for birds declared under the Birds Directive EEC 409/79. The network aims to ensure the long-term survival of species and habitats of Community interest and plays a key role in protecting Europe's biodiversity. As so, the importance to the local and global level of these areas and wetlands associated, is unquestionable, although these are very susceptible and subject to various threats, which call for projects to implement conservation and recovery of ecosystems, habitats and associated species, as well as their valorization. On the other hand, the lack of information about these habitats and associated values to society or its dissemination, are equally important not only for the purpose of conservation, but also to the promotion and enhancement from the perspective of sustainable and integrated management. As such, it’s of utmost importance to exchange experiences on these processes of biodiversity and ecosystems sustainable management, within the space SUDOE, without neglecting the participation of the public. With this project we aim to develop the following actions: 1. Create a local, national and transnational level network in order to exchange and transfer of knowledge, experiences and promote territorial cohesion; 2. General environmental monitoring: biodiversity and ecology (also hydrology and geology) and human impacts among the Natura site attached to the project; 3.Thematic seminar(s) and participatory forums to involve the stakeholders, population and entities (public and private) for awareness-raising, exchange of experiences, information, expectations and techniques for the sustainable management the area namely the biodiversity and natural resources; 4. Implementation of plans for public use in wetland, creating bird watching, nature trails and management of tourism in parallel achieve an enhancement of natural resources, together with the conservation of biological processes to develop them; 5. Press conferences to promote the projects and their results; 6. Launch conference to present and plan the activities and to close with the promotion of the expectations, outputs and results; 7. Studies and site visits: to permit the transfer of best practices and the interchange of experiences; 8. Recovery of habitats and of the traditional Landscape "Bocage" (an agricultural landscape mosaics and units associated with the typical and traditional agriculture practices in the area) that, given the increasing abandonment of traditional agricultural activities, as well as own agricultural activity, have contributed to its degradation; 9. Creation of small infrastructures (paths, bridges, observatories, interpretive panels), which ordered the visitation of habitats and species associated; 10. Development of monitoring work to assess the effectiveness of management actions carried out by increasing the degree of knowledge of the most interesting communities, also developing partnership agreements with the NGO’s for land management and monitoring of the species; 11. Production of a practice guide (with case studies about the activities of interchange of best practises), promotional materials (as video guides, brochures, posters, etc) and ccompilation of a common database for natural places and biodiversity values in the SUDOE project;
