Telerehabilitation technologies, health center, technologies, transfer, pilot,
Objectifs:
The aim is to have a number of territories ("living labs") on which they are operationally deployed technology-based services for rehabilitation, which open many doors for application in telerehabilitation services, both at the hospital and at the patient's home. The ultimate purpose is disseminating the project results and transferring the technologies to organizations, agencies and companies interested in managing health and care resources. Patents can be produced at the end of the project for subsequent commercial exploitation.
Résumé:
The experimentations and testing proposed in the project will allow the evaluation and validation on real scale of the more advanced telecare and telerehabilitation applications, to provide citizens, especially the elderly, chronically ill and dependent, in the SUDOE space, access to these new technologies to improve their quality of life and to support their daily lives, reducing the need to travel to the health centre and improving the effectiveness and utilization of health centers or health care resources, that are limited resources.
Following the development of clinical protocols for the treatment of patients, there will be several clinical trials in patients from hospitals in the regions involved. The service will be integrated both technologically and clinically with the hospitals or care centers with their own information systems. From a clinical standpoint, physiotherapists and neuropsychologists provide these specialized services within their clinical routine, so that the rehabilitation system will help both the patient and the medical staff to perform these rehabilitation services.
From the point of view of telerehabilitation in the home environment of the patient, the technologies will help the therapist to guide the patients with the rehabilitation procedures that the patient have to do at home. This will need remote monitoring of patients.
To demonstrate the utility of these sustainable technological solutions, telerehabilitation services will be evaluated by patients. More specifically the project will execute a pilot project in the regions involved. Pilots can be made in patients divided into several groups. For example, those who have suffered a stroke, known as ictus, which must undergo a process of cognitive and functional rehabilitation in a specialized center; another group might be patients with chronic complications such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; a third group might be those patients who have had their surgery for the implantation of a prosthetic hip or knee,...
