Objectivos:: The project Oraculo: Red de simulación y predicción territorial, is an ambitious project aiming at the establishment of a monitoring, simulation and territory prediction network in SUDOE space.
Resumo:: The project Oraculo: Red de simulación y predicción territorial, is an ambitious project aiming at the establishment of a monitoring, simulation and territory prediction network in SUDOE space. This network will constitute a powerful global territory observatory where any participant will become aware not only of socio-economic and/or environmental aspects in their area, but also they will be able to predict territory responses according to planned changes, possible risks or disasters, giving a quite valuable help in corrective, adaptive or any other kind of decision-making. The project has a clear purpose of service for any public institution. It is also a very helpful tool in their decision-making process about any specific problem regarding, for instance, risk prevention. The new framework will facilitate any task while determining the best policy-making for a sustainable territory development, as well as facing future risk in cross-border terrotories. By the creation of this network, the partnership follow one of the main objectives of SUDOE OP, that is strengthening transnational cooperation by means of specific activities for an integrated territory development. Tranference and putting in common a set of structures on risk prevention in SUDOE space will be considered as crucial by all the participants.
