Objectivos:: The objective of the present Project is the creation of a nautical excellence pole that increases the competitiveness of the recreational sailing sector at the northwestern Mediterranean. Therefore it is intended to integrate within the pole all those entities, public and private, related to the same. This increase in competitiveness will be reached as off two main types of actions. Search of the business excellence through the transference of Know How between the companies and creation of communal good practice methods. Development of innovative projects amongst members of the pole, focused on improving the quality of the services and better marketing.
Resumo:: The excellence poles are defined as the combination, in a determined geographical space, of businesses, institutions, etc… that contribute to a synergy centered in communal projects of business excellence and innovative character. Furthermore, its final objective is to be a world recognized leader as a set of specific skills at the forefront of global market trends, bringing together innovative and excellent companies The geographical area of the northwestern Mediterranean is characterized by a long tradition of nautical tourism. The climatic and natural conditions make it the ideal location for the development of these activities, constituting one of the main touristic nautical destinations at world level. Even so, the competitiveness derived from other destinations, both the already confirmed ones and the emerging ones, makes necessary the evolution of their products and services, highlighting on the quality of the same, assuring the attraction of high level tourism. The excellence poles enable making use of the competitiveness advantages of each of their integrating parts to increase the quality of all of them as a conjunct, based upon the principle of cooperation between companies of the same sector, both the integrating parts of a value chain as those that occupy the same niche market, determines an improvement in the capacity of all of them, translating into an increase of the world market quota. The objective of the present Project is the creation of a nautical excellence pole at the northwestern Mediterranean. The said pole will enable to dispose of an adequate environment for: • Reunite critical and academical mass • Promote an organised ambience for the creation of Business related to the nautical sector. • Create an excellence web in the development of businesses of the nautical sector. • Strengthen human resources training programs. • Exchange of good practice methods in the management amongst the different operators involved. • Promote the innovation through entrepreneurial projects.
