TiChroN, among the 5 finalists of SLAM 2023

Categoría Sudoe projects

TiChroN project, focused on improving the lives of children and adolescents with chronic diseases, thanks to the use of new technologies, has become of the five finalists for one of the main European Territorial Cooperation events, the Interreg Slam 2023.

The TiChroN project has focused on implementing an action protocol capable of responding to the specific health needs of these children by integrating the entire patient environment: family, medical, school and social.

For this purpose, TiChroN currently offers optimized tools for the care and early action in risk situations of children, based on the use of new technologies, with the aim of avoiding their admission to hospitals and the risk situations not detected by the people around them. These tools allow the empowerment of children, in order to improve their skills and competences for the monitoring of their disease.

The work done is closely related to the acquisition of skills, a fact that coincides with the theme chosen by the European Union for this year 2023, the European Year of Skills. Under this framework, the EU wants to empower citizens with the aim of improving the competitiveness of the economy. You can get further information by clicking here.
