Context: Ageing persons at the Department of Herault (CD34) have access to domotic instruments aiming to extend their autonomy. However, these devices are not always well suited to users or to professionals who accompany them. As a result, some are used incorrectly or not at all. In this context, the local project of the CD34 is to analyse the situation in the field and improve the use and efficiency of individual digital equipment. First, a participative forum will be organized to present the project to users, identify the public and their real need/issues, and associating the professionals who work on daily basis with ageing persons. Secondly, it is planned to do the inventory of the equipment (ICT and domotique equipment) afterwards to co-evaluate it with users and improve by testing and adapting.
Project Content: After these two phases, the local project of CD34 will enter the phase where experiences and international exchanges are needed with other SUDOE countries. Once the necessary equipment has been identified with the users and professionals, the project will deal with an issue of maintaining the social link with ageing people in the time of significant ICT development, helping users become familiar with the equipment and optimize the use, but also supporting the missions of professionals working with ageing persons in use of demotic equipment and their work with beneficiaries.
The CD34 would like to develop the project further with other partners interested in the same sort of problematics for the next SUDOE call on Axe 1.
Best practices and lessons learned shared with SUDOE partners in the field of adapting the IT and domotic equipment to ageing persons needs in order to extend their autonomy.
