SECOND CALL FOR PROPOSALS: and the projects approved are…

The Second Call for Proposals of the Interreg South West Programme is now closed with 21 approved projects.

On 7th February, the Steering Committee of the Programme met in Lisboa (PT) to approve the projects of the Second Call for Proposals. Thus, 21 projects13 in the “Research and innovation” axis (axis nº1) and 8 in the “Environment and natural resources efficiency” axis (axis nº5), have been approved and will receive grants from the € 24.999.363,77 ERDF budget available for this call. Projects programming will be definitive with the signing of the ERDF grants agreements between the Managing Authority and the project leader, once applicants will have submitted all the documents and modifications required. Projects leaders will be contacted by the Joint Secretariat in the following days in order to see together the next steps.

The Second Call for Proposals opened in March 2017 to axis 1 and 5. From 357 received applications in the first step, 46 have been selected in June to remain in the race – of those, 29 proposals for axis nº1 and 17 for axis nº5. The second step which opened during the summer closed in October 2017.
