SustForest Plus launches an innovation challenge

SustForest Plus launches an innovation challenge to collect the best proposals to increase the job quality of the resin’ sector and the profitability of the traditional resin extraction activity. This action is addressed at any actor in the European natural resin’s value chain, resident in the regions of the Sudoe’ space. The winners will be invited to participate to the seminar on technology and acceleration of innovation idiForest, organized by the European Network of Resin’s Territories and the INCREDIBLE project, in Soria, on April 20 and 21, 2020.

 

During the seminar, the winners will be supported by experts to implement their proposal, create a multidisciplinary team for its developement and present this project to potential investors who will be present at the event.

To participate, interested parties must complete the form available on the project website before February 23, 2020.

GHELP launches the first training program in the genetic diagnosis of hearing loss

On January 9 and 10, the University of Navarra organized the first edition of the GHELP training program. The objective was to transfer the knowledge currently generated on the genetic diagnosis of hearing loss to European medical professionals. This training is a pioneer in Europe. Among others, sessions were held on genetics, childhood audiology, types of hearing loss, causes of genetic and non-genetic hearing loss, molecular genetics of hearing loss, characteristics of the programs for early detection of hearing loss in newborns and advantages and disadvantages of identification of variants using classical techniques such as Blood sequencing / MI PA versus second generation mass sequencing (NGS). The event has been warmly welcomed with the participation of more than 45 professionals from Spain and Portugal. The training contents, in English, will be available soon on the project website.
