YOUTH: congratulations to the winners of the Preliminary Design Challenge (II Edition) of Nanostar

Categoría General

13 teams of university students participated in the NANOSTAR challenge, rewarding the best teams that have designed a nanosatellite space mission.

82 students, 13 teams, 6 applications: these are the figures for the II edition of the Preliminary Design Challenge, an opportunity for students from universities in south-west Europe to put their academic knowledge into practice, as a team for preconception of a space mission nanosatellite. The NANOSTAR project has already been working with students for over a year to develop a standard approach to nanosatellites in southern Europe, widely used in northern Europe to support the competitiveness of universities and space industries.

Participants in this Challenge designed a nanosatellite space mission aimed at verifying the survivability in space of the Roscoff worms, an element that could be crucial for the design of an artificial ecosystem in future space exploration missions.

In addition to the top 3, 4 other categories were awarded: best preconception document, most innovative mission, best management practices and best oral presentation.

Bravo all the winners of the challenge here
