INNOVATION-YOUTH: Launch of a eirballoon by a group of students within the NANOSTAR project

Categoría General

Next January 14th, a team made up of 5 students from the ENSEIRB-MATMECA engineering school in Bordeaux (FR) will launch, within the framework of the NANOSTAR project, a eirballoon to take pictures of the city of Bordeaux from the sky and measure properties of the atmosphere such as temperature, pressure and the level of UV rays. These parameters will be sent in real time and shared by social networks. The balloon will reach about 30 km in height and allowed the hardware to be tested in space conditions.

Behind this challenge is Nigel Ignatowicz, an electrical engineering student who was in charge of the radio frequency between the globe and the station, the preparation of the equipment and the management of the project.
