MOAI LABS wins the first FEDER Communications Award in Spain within the European Territorial Cooperation category
MOAI LABS Project has became the winner at the Project Competition within the framework of the Annual Event on Regional Policy and European Funds in Spain 2022, held in Madrid on November the 29th. The project, which focuses on combating the isolation and loneliness of elderly , was awarded with the prize in the European Territorial Cooperation category.
MOAI LABS project, co-funded by Interreg Sudoe Programme with a budget of € 1,470,000 and focused on fighting isolation and loneliness among elderly, got top position at the Annual Event of Regional Policy and European Funds in Spain 2022, an event organised by the Ministry of Finance and Public Services and held in Madrid on November the 29th. MOAI LABS competed in the European Territorial Cooperation category and attended the event with a public presentation that shared all the work carried out since its launching.
The presentation was made by María José Echegaray and Raquel Losada, representing the Fundación Intras, which is the main beneficiary of the MOAI LABS project, and was accompanied by Benedicto Caminero, Technical Director of Assistance for the Elderly and People with Disabilities of the Social Services Department of the Junta de Castilla y León; and by Antonio Suazo, representing the elderly sector.
The competition rewarded the communication strategy implemented by the project to disseminate its results, presentation, the innovative elements, the coverage of the population and the synergies with other public policies, among other factors.
The Interreg Sudoe project was joined at the event by two other projects in the same category, which reached the final after participating in the semi-final, which was launched online on November the 10th. This semi-final had a total of seven participating projects under Interreg frame.
