The Interreg Sudoe VI-B Program 2021-2027 has been approved on 13 December by the European Commission with EUR 115,6 million from FEDER funding and a total budget of EUR 154,2 million.
For this programming period, the preservation of the natural capital of Southwest Europe and its adaptation to climate change, on one side, and the strengthening of social cohesion and territorial and demographic balance through innovation and endogenous development, on the other side, are the main lines of action.
Sudoe will continue to promote transnational cooperation throughout Southwest Europe, in countries such as Spain (all regions and autonomous cities except the Canary Islands), France (the regions of Nouvelle Aquitaine, Occitanie and, for the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the former Auvergne region), Portugal (whole country) and Andorra (third country of the programme).
Interreg Sudoe 2021-2027 is the fourth programming period, after three other periods in which hundreds of transnational projects have been able to work on their ideas in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
