The Interreg Sudoe Programme opened its first call for proposals to the five priority axis, with a total € 40.2 million ERDF budget, as it follows:

Step 1

The first call for proposals launched Step 1 from the 21st of September to the 6th of November 2015. At this stage, potential beneficiaries had to submit a simplified project proposal within the deadline fixed by the announcement. The project proposals had to be submitted twice:

  • The online application, written in all the languages of the partnership, submitted through the online application system eSudoe before the 6th of November 2015 at 12 noon (CET).
  • The paper application, written in the language of the lead beneficiary and unbound, sent by post to the Joint Secretary before the 6th of November at 11.59 pm (CET).

After the closure of Step 1, the Joint Secretariat received 496 project proposals. You can read here some statistics about the kind of submitted projects. The list of shortlisted projects was published on the 24th of February 2016, after the decision of the Steering Committee, that met on the 23th of February in Lisbon (Portugal). Step 2

Step 2 of the first call for proposals was open from the 29th of February to the 29th of April 2016. At this stage, potential beneficiaries had to submit a complete project proposal within the deadline fixed by the first call’s announcement: 

  • The online application, written in all the languages of the partnership, submitted through the online application system eSudoe before the 29th of April 2016 at 12 noon (CET).
  • The paper application, written in the language of the lead beneficiary and unbound, sent by post to the Joint Secretary before the 29th of April at 11.59 pm (CET).

The Joint Secretariat published a set of Frequently Asked Questions to answer the most common questions of the potential beneficiaries regarding Step 2.

Technical meeting on step 2

The Joint Secretariat organised on 16-17/03/2016 a technical meeting on step 2, inviting the applicants who successfully passed step 1. The meeting, that took place in Santander (Spain), focused on the technical aspects of the submission of applications, as well as certain content aspects to improve the quality of the proposals. You can check here the programme and presentations. After the technical meeting, the Joint Secretariat prepared a document that includes further information, in order to provide an answer to some questions that arose in the course of the event. Approval of the projects

The final approval of the projects was notified after the decision of the Steering Committee, that met on the 30th of June 2016 in Porto (Portugal). You can check here the list of approved projects. The ceremony of ERDF grants signing and the seminar on project management took place on the 26th and 27thSeptember, 2016, in Santander (Spain).
